As I have gotten older, my vision has gotten worse. I noticed the change in my vision during my forties when I started having issues reading things. I would have to hold books as far away as possible to read them, so I gave in to getting “reader” glasses. I had to find the cutest ones I could to offset the need to wear them. Then, my vision for seeing things far away got worse so I had to give in to getting prescription glasses and contacts. My days of seeing things without help were over. I Need A Hero
When I was a little girl, one of my favorite super heroes was Batman. I can hear the theme song from the television show playing in my mind. Tug of War

I wanted to hang on to my anger, resentment and bitterness because it made me feel like I was in control. I felt like if I forgave, then I wouldn’t have anything else to hang on to. I knew that forgiving would set me free, but it would also set the other person free and I didn’t know if I was ready for that yet. Continue reading “Tug of War”
